Knit in a soft, alpaca/cotton blend, this cabled pattern hat is a fun and whimsical pattern for beyond beginning knitters. The winding cables provide a texture that will make this hat stand out - and it is fun to work up! Make one for yourself or a special hand-knit gift.

Suggested yarn: Jody Long Alpamayo (alpaca/cotton) or sport to worsted weight yarn.
Colorway: Fog (#3), 1 skein, (191 yards / 100 grams)
Note: For a looser fit, you can also work this pattern in silky wool. The pattern still looks great!
Size: 23” hat - Adult Regular
Gauge: 4 sts/in or 14-16 sts over 4” in St st.
Needles: US Size 8 or size needed to obtain gauge, 16” circular needles, and double-pointed needles for top shaping.
Yardage - 191-200 yards (174 - 182 m)
**Pattern includes no chart and full written instructions.
(Adding a pom pom or fleece lining to this hat is a great post-knit enhancement. This pattern doesn't include these instructions, but they are available upon request.)
