How to Decrease (P2tog) - english style

Purl two together (P2tog) - Basic Decreasing

To decrease means to reduce the total number of stitches and is often used for shaping a knitted piece. For example, you decrease along the side of a sweater to form the body shape.

Another useful decrease is the p2tog (purl 2 together). This decrease is performed when working the wrong side of a fabric, or working decreases in Reverse Stockinette Stitch (Rev St st).
